Hello! My name is Veronica Manwaring. I am the Pre-K 4 teacher and Principal at Immanuel Lutheran School. I began teaching at ILS in 2013, but started my teaching career in Missouri in 2004. I graduated from Southeast Missouri University with my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2003. I then received my Masters of Arts in Teacher and Learning – Language and Literacy from Kaplan University in 2008. Once I began teaching here at Immanuel, I received my Colloquy degree through Concordia University Chicago in 2016. My favorite thing about teaching at Immanuel is the fact that our curriculum is Christ-centered. I can teach my students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books and magazines, going on walks, spending time at Lake Kinkaid, and baking desserts. My husband, Brian, is a math teacher and football coach at Murphysboro High School. We have two children, William and Blaire. My family also includes three cats, Buddy, Sylvester and Pepper, and a Dalmatian – Jake.
